TTTech Joins Airline Avionics Institute

Released on = March 29, 2006, 9:52 am

Press Release Author = TTTech Computertechnik AG

Industry = Transportation & Logistics

Press Release Summary = TTTech becomes AAI member

Press Release Body = ( EMAILWIRE.COM, March 29, 2006 ) Vienna, Austria – TTTech
Computertechnik AG, the leader in the field of time-triggered technology for
reliable data communication, has joined the Airline Avionics Institute (AAI), a
non-profit organization of entities in the commercial avionics and flight simulation
industry. TTTech joined to support AAI’s aim to advance industry standards for
electronic equipment in commercial airliners.

AAI’s mission is to advance the goals and support the activities of the Airlines
Electronic Engineering Committee (AEEC), the Avionics Maintenance Conference (AMC)
and the Flight Simulator Engineering and Maintenance Conference (FSEMC), and to
augment the recognition of members of these organizations.

TTTech will exhibit for the first time at this year’s Avionics Maintenance
Conference (AMC), which is an air transport industry activity sponsored by
Aeronautical Radio, Inc. (ARINC). AMC’s objectives are to promote reliability and
reduced operating costs in air transport avionics by improving maintenance and
support techniques through the exchange of technical information.

Through these regular meetings and close coordination between its members, AAI
encourages friendly and cooperative relationships and liaison among attendees from
airlines and suppliers from all over the world. TTTech’s AAI membership provides an
opportunity to promote its know-how in safe data communication for aircraft, and to
work closely with the most important aircraft manufacturers and avionic system
suppliers. Therefore, being part of AAI advances TTTech’s recognition in the
worldwide commercial aerospace industry.

“TTTech’s solutions considerably improve the safety and reliability of networked
computer systems in the aerospace industry,” commented Dr. Mirko Jakovljevic,
Marketing Manager Aerospace at TTTech. He continued, “Our technology, which is based
on Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP), has been used in safety-critical production
programs since 2002, and is being deployed in next-generation aircraft. We are
convinced that bringing TTTech’s know-how to the AAI will be valuable to the
commercial aerospace industry and we are keen to share ideas with key aerospace
players.”
