Intensive Federal Study shows Naval Base Gains Huge Savings by Replacing Caustic Dip Tank with a MART Parts Washer
Maryland Heights, MO - August 18, 2006
Lakehurst Naval Base’s participation in the Pollution Prevention Equipment Program compared parts cleaning benefits and costs associated with a dip tank verses a MART Parts Washer. This year and a half study conclusively showed the MART saved $25,144 annually over the dip tank process. The thorough analysis included such factors as consumables, labor, and waste disposal. Labor, as in most cases, was the biggest area of savings at $17,829.
