Super Dips For The Super Bowl - Kids Cookbook Scores Touchdown With Adults

Released on = January 27, 2007, 10:20 pm

Press Release Author = Malcolm Kushner

Industry = Food & Beverage

Press Release Summary = Easy-to-make dips for Super Bowl snacks from a kids cookbook

Press Release Body = (Santa Cruz, CA) Couch potatoes getting ready for the Super
Bowl have found a surprising new game-plan for snacking success -- a cookbook for
kids. California Squisine, the world\'s first cookbook of squeezable recipes, has a
chapter of 17 tasty dips and spreads.

Although the book is designed to help kids eat healthy food, adults have discovered
that the recipes are extremely simple to make. And they taste good. Those are the
two major requirements for many people preparing for Super Snack Sunday --
especially men.

Featuring a cornucopia of flavors, the recipes include Aloha Dip, BBQ Dip, Cocoa
Dip, Feta Cream Cheese Spread, Honey Mustard Dip and Salsa Yogurt Dip. Many of them
can be made with only two or three ingredients. It doesn\'t get any easier.

Despite the emphasis on health in the cookbook (children are encouraged to use the
dips with fruits and vegetables) Super Bowl snackers will probably rely on more
traditional dip delivery systems -- chips, pretzels and fingers. But that\'s OK,
says cookbook author Malcolm Kushner. \"It\'s still healthier than eating high-fat,
high-calorie dips from the supermarket,\" he notes. \"And it leaves more room for
beer.\"
