Chandigarh Chapter of Indian Media Centre will organise a colloquium on \"Upheaval in
Nandigram - Disturbing implications\" on Sunday, June 10, 2007. A decision to hold
this programme was taken in General Body meeting of Chandigarh Chapter of Indian
Media Centre, held today.

The programme is based on an analysis of the report of a Fact Finding Committee,
where two members of the committee Mr PC Dogra and Ms Nafisa Hussain will speak
about their observations during a visit to Nandigram.

The presentations of the Fact Finding Committee will be followed by an interactive
session in which Sh. Pawan Bansal, Minister of State for Finance Govt. of India,
Capt. Kanwaljit Singh, Co-operation Minister, Govt of Punjab and S. Ajmer Singh
Lakhowal, Chairman Punjab Mandi Board will be special participants.

The colloquium will be held in the auditorium of Museum & Art Gallery, Sector 10,
Chandigarh.

This programme will also mark the launch of the Chandigarh Chapter of Indian Media
Centre. Mr Chandan Mitra, Chairman of Indian Media Centre and Mr Shyam Khosla, IMC
Director, will formally launch the Chapter on this occasion.
