The LPGA Tour heads to Pittsford, N.Y., this week for the Wegmans LPGA at Locust
Hill Country Club.

The event closes the first half of the LPGA Playoffs 2007 season. The winner will
take home $270,000, and the top 11 players in the ADT Points race following the
Wegmans LPGA will qualify for the season-ending ADT Championship.

Jeong Jang is the defending champion. She has played well so far this year, earning
$200,000 and finishing third at the Safeway International.

But defending her title won\'t be easy. This week\'s field includes 27 of the top 30
golfers on the LPGA money list, and all will be looking to sharpen up for the U.S.
Women\'s Open.

The 2005 Wegmans winner, world women\'s No. 1 Lorena Ochoa, has won twice this season
and leads the money list with $1.2 million. She\'ll likely be hungry for a win after
losing to Annika Sorenstam on her own turf at a Skins Game in Acapulco last weekend.
Sorenstam won 11 skins worth $165,000 to Ochoa\'s $105,000.

Five other past champions will compete - Karrie Webb, Kim Saiki-Maloney, Rachel
Hetherington, Meg Mallon and Nancy Lopez - as will Suzann Pettersen, fresh off her
LPGA Championship triumph.
