distribution markets, today announced that CipherLab Certified Solutions partner
Agricultural Data Systems (ADS) of Laguna Niguel, CA has been named a 2007 All-Star
VAR by Vertical Systems Reseller (VSR) magazine. ADS earned the annual award for
the design and implementation of a groundbreaking fresh produce tracking system for
Red Blossom Farms that utilizes the CipherLab 8300 Light Industrial Mobile Computer.

Red Blossom Farms, one of the nation’s leading strawberry producers, wanted to take
a proactive approach to food safety within its supply chain processes. ADS created
a trace-back system utilizing its DataTrack™ software with the CipherLab 8300 to
collect and transmit product information from the field. The result is the nation’s
first comprehensive trace-back program that uses barcodes to convey all relevant
data such as date picked, date shipped and destination information – all of which is
accessible to consumers via a website.
