Great Plains MRP highlights:
1. Current version is 10.0. If you are on the version 8.0 or earlier, please
consider upgrade scenarios, as Microsoft Business Solutions technical support is
about to expire (or already expired: 7.5, 7.0, 6.0, 5.5, 5.0, 4.0).
2. Software Licenses Sale and new version registration key. In order to get new
version reg key or acquire new GP modules, your company should be current in GP
annual enhancement program, if you are not enrolled, or not current, please contact

3. Database Platforms Supported. Version 7.5 was the last version, available for
Pervasive SQL 2000/Btrieve and Ctree, since version 8.0 GP is only supported on MS
SQL Server platforms (including MSDE, MS SQL Select). Versions 9.0 and 10.0 are
recommended to be installed on MS SQL Server 2005, however SQL Server 2000 is also
supported
4. Typical Integrations: eCommerce – in this scenario you integrate your e-commerce
website application (with shopping cart and products catalogue) with GP Sales Order
Processing (SOP) module; main instrument is eConnect, however in order to allow
eConnect post Sales Invoices batches in GP you need Alba Spectrum Posting Server,
please call us for details. EDI integration – this is when you place purchase
orders or have your supplier upload their Invoices to GP – it is often implemented
on SQL scripting level, when you export data to fixed length text file for EDI
processing
