DFDS Seaways boosts online sales with new dynamic website and affiliates revenue up
50% YOY

In 2008, DFDS Seaways UK continues to focus efforts on increasing business booked
online, and there is even greater focus on the affiliate channel through a range of
high profile incentives and promotions throughout the year ahead.

DFDS Seaways will launch a newly designed, dynamic website. An improved booking
engine has already been launched to enhance the customer experience even further.
The affiliate channel is of key importance to driving traffic to www.DFDS.co.uk.

In the UK, DFDS Seaways works with over 3,500 affiliates on both the Buy.at and
TradeDoubler networks. In 2008, so far, there has been a 50% increase in revenue
through affiliates year on year showing the significance of this distribution
channel. DFDS Seaways is also bolstering its online teams to further develop the
spotlight online.

Tom Fotheringham, UK Online Marketing Manager at DFDS Seaways commented, “DFDS

There are major affiliates operating throughout the UK and to increase awareness of
the affiliate programme, DFDS Seaways is launching a major Q1 promotion. One

The prize is worth over £5000 and is partnered with a cash back bonus for bookings.
This shows the determination of DFDS Seaways to reward and recognise affiliate

DFDS Seaways is regularly featured on a range of blogs, praising the company for
it’s incentive schemes and promotions, particularly after the organisation of a free
affiliate event onboard ship to Amsterdam from Newcastle during 2007. Not only was
