Professionals across all disciplines of IBM Mainframe, AS/400, DEC VAX, UNIX, PCs,
Network Infrastructure, Application Development, Database Administration, etc.,
transitioning into recruiting professionals for IT Security Jobs was a natural
progression.
This transition began in the mid 1990s and by the late 1990s; the majority of Jeff
Snyder’s recruiting was focused in the Information Security space. Information
Security recruiting led to IT Audit recruiting in the 2001 timeframe. Information
Security and Audit recruiting transitioned into Regulatory Compliance recruiting
with the creation of regulations like GLBA, SOX and HIPAA.
Today, we see even another shift in that our Information Security recruiting focus
is converging with a focus on Physical Security recruiting. At an even higher
level, many of our searches focus on Technology Risk Management, Physical Security
Risk management and Enterprise Risk Management.
We have not been asked to deliver candidates who are currently coming out of
military or law enforcement backgrounds but we are asked to deliver candidates who
are currently in corporate security jobs and who are in enterprise risk management
focused roles.
