Encryption is now made simple with TextEncrypt

Released on: September 23, 2008, 12:24 am

Press Release Author: Reynold M. Deguzman

Industry: Software

Press Release Summary: TextEncrypt allows you to send encrypted text via unencrypted
channels. This program encrypts text so that it is not readable as a human
language.

Press Release Body: If you have ever had questions about text encryption, you should
give TextEncrypt a try.

Sending a message through email or even emailing a text file to someone is unsecure.
Why is this? Someone with enough knowledge of internet protocols can intercept
that message and view it while it is being transmitted to the intended person.
That's right, someone can read your mail.

Setting up secure email for both yourself and the intended recipient can be tedious
and may require access to the email server as well as highly technical people to set
this up. Sending messages to and fro in a chat program does not guarantee that the
person reading it is the only one who will ever see the message. There are a
variety of encryption techniques that require keys, passwords, special software, and
the like to handle this problem, but each and every user needs to be knowledgeable
enough to set this up on their own system.

Let's face it, the information super highway is not a safe place and secrets should
not be transmitted through this highway unencrypted. The basic infrastructure of
the internet will not be changing very soon, as this would require every single
computer and server on the internet to comply to this standard.

TextEncrypt can send secure encrypted email and other text to anyone, even through
unsecure channels. How does it do this? The text you encrypt is sent through the
unsecure channel as if it was plain text, but unreadable by humans. The person who
recieves the encrypted text will be given instructions on how to decrypt text that
was encrypted and sent by you. All they will need is the password you used to
encrypt the text. This can be done by a pre-arranged phone conversation.
